2BigFeet.com was started in LaGrange, Georgia in late 1999 by two regular guys who knew how hard it was to find large shoes. After several months of research and begging for money, 2BigFeet.com was born! During our years in business, we have shipped countless pairs of shoes to happy customers around the world. We've made friends on every continent (except Antarctica.) We credit our success to our business concept, which is the same today as when we first envisioned 2BigFeet.com: we work hard to find shoes that are made in large sizes, establish strong relationships with manufacturers, keep as much inventory on-hand as possible, make our store available to everyone via the Internet, charge a fair price, stand behind what we sell. In September 2001, we moved the business down to Albany, Georgia and opened our first retail store there. It may seem backwards for a company to first open online and then move into traditional retail, but you wouldn't expect the ordinary from a business named "2BigFeet.com" anyway! We closed the retail store in 2006 and moved back into a warehouse and fulfillment center. In January 2007, Brandon Eley and his wife Tracy bought out Brandon's business partner and moved 2BigFeet's headquarters back to LaGrange, Georgia where it all started. In May 2007, we discontinued use of the fulfillment center and moved all our inventory back to LaGrange. We re-opened our retail store in June 2007. Over the next two years, we added dozens of new brands and styles of shoes in large sizes. We quickly outgrew our small building and began looking for a bigger facility. In March 2009, we moved into a larger building with a warehouse in the back and retail store up front. With four times the space, we were sure this building would last us for years. We were so sure we negotiated a three year lease with an option to renew for another three years. We never even made it to the end of our first three-year term before we had shoes stacked everywhere. In September 2011, we moved into an even bigger warehouse, the one you see in the photo at the top of the page.
