Agri-Tronix
Agri-Tronix Corporation was founded in 1981. The business began as a partnership and part-time venture that was operated from the living room of Terry Clarkson's home. In 1982, the business was changed from a partnership to a corporation and a second repair facility was created at the residence of Terry's partner. By the spring of 1985, the business was doing so well that the founders decided to quit their full-time jobs at a factory in Indianapolis and make Agri-Tronix their full-time occupation. The building at 2001 N US 31 was purchased, several employees were hired and Agri-Tronix was off and growing at an impressive rate. The years of 1985 and 1986 were years of growth and a solid customer base was built during these years. In April of 1988, due to a difference in goals for the company, Terry purchased his partner's stock in the corporation and became the sole owner of Agri-Tronix. He maintains this position today. Agri-Tronix has steadily grown from a part-time, home office business to an international agricultural electronics provider. Despite its growth, Agri-Tronix and its employees continue to believe in the "small business mentality" that has made it what it is today.
