Angus & Mack offer a range of educational workshops to children from 7 upwards. Our workshops offer children their first experience of real tools in a safe, fun, and productive environment. We work at your site where children work together to produce very practical outdoor furniture or sculpture, tailored to your School, group or project. Through using the specialist tools participants are able to apply classroom knowledge in a practical context. We also offer a letter branding workshop where children can brand words onto wood to create signage. These workshops are available to classes of children from 7 years old upwards, and groups of up to 15 at a time. The construction methods taught can be tailored to make a wide variety of objects and a bespoke design service is available. Activities are provided in the context of environmental education, however, ideas from a wide variety of topics can be incorporated as required. We are happy to tailor to the national curriculum. Classes include carpentry and furniture making as well as a new letter and sign branding class. We are more than happy to taylor a project to your needs, and have partners we can work with to provide larger events.
