Jordan Associates is a consulting firm that works with corporate legal departments to improve performance and deliver legal services more strategically. Our mission is to help in-house legal departments achieve excellence in providing cost effective legal, compliance and risk management advice, through highly-skilled professionals who look forward to coming to work. Anne Jordan who heads Jordan Associates has over twenty-five years experience as an in-house attorney and manager, fifteen of which were at the General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel level. While in-house she realized how few resources were available to effectively help in-house departments structure the legal function, improve the way they provide services and manage the department, or to simply validate the department's approach to legal service delivery. Consultants used by corporations' other business units typically lack expertise in the legal sector, and human resources may not have a deep strength in managing professionals whose performance is necessarily judged more on subjective rather than objective criteria. Large consulting organizations that offer specific services to legal departments may not be able to deliver projects scaled to a corporation's or department's budget and resources, or be able to staff a project with professionals who have significant in-house expertise. Jordan Associates fills this void, tailoring projects to a client's specific objectives, consistent with the resources the client has available to commit to a project.
