Oyster Point Psychological has offered assessment and psychotherapy services, since it was incorporated in 1984, with a change to the current name in 1989. The primary focus of the practice involves clinical services for adults abused as children, trauma victims, and those involved in the legal system (e.g., competency, mitigating factors, and child custody evaluations). Dr. Billups provides training and consultative services in the area of traumatic stress and has conducted continuing education training for licensed professionals in the Midwest and New England. An academic coaching component to the practice was added during the summer of 2005, specializing in work with students involuntarily separated from school, who are seeking readmission.
