China Reinsurance (Group) Corporation (China Re) was initiated and established by Ministry of Finance and Central Huijin Investment Ltd., with a registration capital of RMB 36.408 billion. It is the only Reinsurance Group company in China. The predecessor of China Re is People's Insurance Company of China, established in October 1949.
