Consumer Construction Inc. was founded in 1985 by Mark Mitchell upon his completion of service in the US Army. The company began as a residential and commercial roofing company serving customers in Prince William County. In 1991, Bob Hagen joined as a co-owner of Consumer Construction. Bob's decades of experience in both the roofing and construction industries helped Consumer Construction expand its menu of services. By 1999, the company began to offer windows and siding services as well. Over the three decades, Consumer Construction has added additional key capabilities to its repertoire of home exterior remodeling offerings and has expanded to include home interior remodeling offerings. In the last decade, Consumer Construction has added doors, decking, gutters, and railing to its list of services. The steady growth of our capabilities now enable us to completely transform homes in Northern Virginia, by including all exterior remodeling needs for our customers. We now provide complete exterior renovation services and are proud to have completely renovated several hundred homes in the Northern Virginia area. Most recently, with the help of our expanding team of experts, we are proud to offer a number of home interior remodeling services, including finishing basements. Consumer Construction has grown steadily since our start as a small roofing company. Today, Consumer Construction is owned and operated by husband and wife team Ken and Joan Ayer. Ken is a business leader with over three decades of manufacturing, engineering, and customer service experience. Joan is the company's in-house counsel and leads the company's marketing efforts. Today, the business continues to grow and thrive thanks to our highly-skilled and professional staff.
