Cornwall Hospice Care

Cornwall Hospice Care is a Cornish charity that provides specialist care for adults with a terminal illness and their families. It runs two hospices, Mount Edgcumbe in St Austell and St Julia's in Hayle, a 24 hour advice line for other healthcare professionals and provides Consultant support and training in the acute hospital and in other care settings. It costs over £5 million to provide the specialist care to in and out patients. Only 20% of this is funded through a contribution from Cornwall's NHS Commissioners. The other £4million is raised via the support of people in Cornwall who leave the charity legacies, support fundraising events, play the charity's lottery and visit its 32 shops.
