Founders Equity Group was established in 1996 as an investment banking firm specializing in merchant banking. We also provide financial and investment advice to successful entrepreneurs and their companies, both public and private. Merchant Banking is the core business at Founders Equity Group. The active merchant banking practice at Founders Equity serves U.S. corporations, corporate owners and successful entrepreneurs. Founders prefers to make a direct investment in client companies enabling us to share in the success of our clients. This active participation places us in a principal position and reduces our reliance on generating fees from a transaction. We believe this structure reduces conflicts and aligns the interest of all parties involved. The principals of Founders Equity Group, Inc. are Thomas J. Spackman and Scotty D. Cook who have a combined 20 years experience in investing in and advising smaller capitalization public companies. Collectively, Founders and its affiliates now have approximately $50 million of capital under management that is available for, or committed to, private investments in all layers of a company's capital structure. This capital can be used for: bridge loans leveraged acquisitions buildups turnarounds mergers and acquisitions reverse mergers, and private equity placements
