J.R. Spitznogle and his cousin Jim Spitznogle founded Global Plastics in 1992 with a single 40-ton Nissei injection molding machine. Since then, the Indianapolis company has grown to become a premier manufacturing facility with more than 50 injection molding machines, and 350 employees. Global Plastics serves the Automotive, Medical, Electronics, Packaging and Industrial markets. The company also owns affiliates Global Packaging, based in Westfield, Indiana, and Global Forming, also in Indianapolis. Global Packaging is an established producer of prepackaged salt and pepper shakers, paper packets, and sugar packets. Global Forming provides complete service capabilities for welding, robotic welding, stamping, roll forming, e-coat services, and component assembly. Prior to 2007, Global Forming was part of the Textron Group.
