Today's Insurance and Gomes Travel were founded in 1976 in East Cambridge, MA and purchased by Luis and Jose Azevedo in 1981. Since then, Gomes Travel and Today's Insurance have opened two additional offices, Peabody MA in 1983 and Lowell MA in 1990. In the beginning, these two young brothers had one goal in common: To provide excellent service in the travel and insurance businesses in the greater Boston area. As the years went by, the twin companies made a lot of progress by offering their clients professional and competitive services in the travel and insurance industries. In 2001 Gomes Travel acquired Fly Away Travel in Peabody, MA, and has since incorporated the name Fly Away Travel into the Gomes Travel Group of companies, while Today's Insurance remains unchanged.
