As a full-service tire and automotive center, Griffin Brothers has been serving the Charlotte area since 1961. Larry Griffin Sr., who's no stranger to the tire and automotive industry, purchased Honest Tire in 1961 from an uncle who opened the facility in 1928. The flagship location, which was on West Trade Street in Charlotte, operated under the name Honest Tire Service until 1965 when Larry Sr. and his brother Ronnie incorporated the company as Griffin Brothers Tire Sales. Ronnie later branched off and Larry Griffin Jr. (Larry Sr's son) joined the company as Vice President in 1989. Griffin Brothers has long been regarded as a trendsetter in the industry and continues to lead the market as one of region's best and most enduring tire dealers.
