GrowFit strives to provide an opportunity for children and their families to begin to make small behavioural changes towards a balanced, healthy lifestyle in a safe and educational environment where children can strengthen both mind and body while learning self-confidence and personal motivation. Above all, GrowFit is dedicated to delivering the message to children that 'Being Fit Is FUN'. GrowFit is the creation of director Mike Searson, a fitness specialist with more than a decade of experience in the health and fitness industry. Mike's passion for children's health and fitness emerged during the five years he spent working with young children as a swimming instructor and coach. During this time he noticed the need for customised health and fitness programs for the younger generation. This led to the design and implementation of GrowFit, a Preschool Fitness Program, which includes a wide range of specialised games, sports activities and tailored fitness exercises. The program is separated into two age groups: 1 -3 year olds and 3 -5 year olds, with 30 minute sessions run as part of a ten week program. GrowFit is a mobile service, we operate out of your preschool or child care centre and our prices are highly competitive. The early childhood years are a crucial development phase in the building of movement skills. Through the use of creative games, activities, and themed adventures, the GrowFit Preschool Fitness Program supports the progress of children's movement skills, while they have a great time and play along with their friends. Throughout the GrowFit program, the children will also begin to learn about their body (with a focus on muscles and bones), as well as the importance of healthy eating. GrowFit encourages an active and healthy lifestyle, in an environment that provides a range of significant physical, social and emotional benefits.
