Harry Fairclough Construction currently has round 150 direct employees, many of who have been with us for at least 10 years. We are committed to investing in our people, helping them to reach their full potential and believe this is the reason why we keep our staff and remain a popular place to work. Split 60% tradesmen and apprentices, made up mostly of bricklayers and joiners, and 40% management, including on-site supervisory staff, there is great scope for progression within the company. Our on-site supervisory management come from a variety of positions ranging from a trade background to university graduates. And, on the whole, our off-site management team has progressed from an on-site position. At the helm of the company, all of our directors have come up through the ranks and hold between fifteen to twenty years' practical experience and knowledge as well as a raft of professional qualifications. Coaching and training remains very high on our agenda. In addition to apprenticeships and compulsory Health & Safety instruction, each of our employees receives, an average of four days a year of formalised and structured training, a figure that's in the top quartile for the industry. And, as if that wasn't impressive enough, everyone working for us benefits from a teaching and learning culture that was embedded in the business by Harry Fairclough himself.
