The IDCEE

IDCEE serves as a forum where Internet entrepreneurs, VCs and angel investors from the CEE countries and from other parts of the world can meet to learn about the latest trends and future development of Internet technologies, listen to insightful keynotes and panel discussions by the global luminaries of Internet entrepreneurship and venture capital, share their experience, exchange ideas and do networking. Apart from that, the Conference provides a unique opportunity for 150 pre-selected Internet startups from the region to pitch their ventures to representatives of leading local, pan-European and global VC funds and angel investors within the framework of the Startup Competition. The finalists of the Startup Competition will pitch on the main stage to the international panel of judges. The Conference will also include workshops for startup entrepreneurs, which will include workshops by CISCO, Microsoft, SAP, Yandex, Nokia Lab and other leading global IT and Internet companies. This year a special panel will be dedicated to India which will highlight India's achievements in the development of the Internet startup ecosystem and VC industry. Prominent Indian entrepreneurs and VCs are expected to take part in this panel. Same as last year, this year the Conference will have an impressive line-up of speakers. It is expected that more than 2,000 opinion leaders from Ukrainian, Russian and European startup scene, aspiring Internet entrepreneurs, innovators, VCs, angel investors and other experts will attend IDCEE 2012. Last year, more than 2,000 participants from 35 countries attended IDCEE 2011, which included 30 panel sessions, more than 50 speakers, 150 start-ups from 16 countries, 200 investors from all over the world, representatives of 20 leading global VC funds with a total $30 billion under management. IDCEE 2011 program comprised presentations by such prominent speakers and visionaries as Esther Dyson (angel investor, philanthropist, famous for investment in Flickr, del.icio.us, XCOR Aerospace), Oskar Hartmann (CEO of KupiVip), Florian Schweitzer (Partner of b-to-v Partners AG), David Waroquier (Partner of Mangrove Capital Partners), Alexander Galitsky (co-founder and managing partner of Almaz Capital Partners), Serguei Beloussov, (Senior Founding Partner of Runa Capital), AlexBaker (BlackBerry Partners Fund™), Edward Shenderovich (founding partner of Kite Ventures), Stefan Glaenzer (famous for his investment in Last.fm, co-founder of White BearYard), together with successful entrepreneurs Constantin Bisanz (founder of brands4friends sold to eBay for $150 million), Andrej Nabergoj (ex Outfit7) and many others.
