Island Echo is the the Isle of Wight's only true 24hr news source, keeping Islanders informed and on the move around the clock 7 days a week bringing the latest breaking news, community information and more as it happens. Despite our large readership and up-to-the-minute news reports, we are only a small team but we are dedicated to bringing readers the latest information from across the Island, primarily within a 60-minute time frame. Island Echo was first founded in May 2012 as a BETA test. Following a successful 3 months to show the format works and was of interest to Islanders, Island Echo relaunched via social networking only in October 2012, the start of the strong social following we have today. The website relaunched early in 2013 and took the Island by storm and now, 3 years later, Island Echo is one of the leading Island news sources with our readership growing on a month by month basis.
