We offer Schoolwide Title One Reading (K & 2nd Grade), ESL, Learning Disabilities, Speech, and OT/PT. Mr. John Stewart is our Licensed Professional Counselor. He offers individual, small and large group counseling. Improving student achievement continues to be our primary focus. We will continue using Saxon Math for our students in grades K-8. It is the Saxon philosophy that math instruction should build on prior learning. In Saxon, new learning is presented in increments, with time provided between increments for practice. At the primary level, the program offers a complete kit with a balanced approach using manipulatives and guided instruction. It is our goal to improve student achievement in the area of mathematics using a program that is common for grades K-8. Hopefully, we will continue to get the results we are aiming for. With our staff's commitment and dedication, we will continue to strive to increase student achievement in all of the programs and practices that have been put into place at Southeast again this year. We will also continue using AIMSweb, Six Trait Writing, Leveled Literacy Intervention, and common planning time.
