Mattern Construction

Mattern Construction was founded in 1987 by George J. Mattern, current owner. George began the business from his home in Canterbury, later moving to two different locations in Preston, and in 2000 we moved to our current office in Baltic, Connecticut. Throughout the years George has built a company based on teamwork, respect for others, trust and commitment. Mattern's staff has many years of varied construction expertise which, when combined with George's leadership, have proven to be a strong and effective team. Our goal at Mattern Construction is to build a lasting company with strong customer relationships, as well as a reputation for top quality work at a fair price. Every project and every customer is important to us, and we strive for repeat customers. Mattern Construction is a business based on trust, and we are committed to standing behind our work. We strive to exceed our customers' expectations by providing exceptional performance. Mattern Construction considers safety a priority on all our jobs. Through training and education, we work hard to provide a safe workplace for not only our employees, but also others who enter our construction sites. All employees are OSHA Certified, and many are certified in CPR. Many employees also have advanced training in specialized roofing, pneumatic tool training, and welding. Everyone at Mattern Construction considers our subcontractors and suppliers an integral part of our team. We have built strong and lasting business relationships with a multitude of subcontractors and suppliers in southern New England. These relationships have contributed to our success in the past and will help us succeed in the future.
