Modern Piping

Modern Sheet Metal, Inc. was created in 2013 to provide customers with more options and solutions to their HVAC needs. Customers see the value of a team and have embraced the "one-stop shop" capability now provided by Modern Sheet Metal Inc., Modern Piping Inc., and Modern Control Services, Inc. Until now, the company that defined us as an industry leader in the mechanical contracting industry was Modern Piping, Inc. Modern Piping Inc. was founded in 1939 as Modern Refrigeration, Inc. Modern Refrigeration, Inc. and Puth Company, Inc., a plumbing contractor, merged in 1962 to form Modern Piping, Inc. In 1983, Modern Piping, Inc. Service Division became a LINC™ contractor, thereby extending even greater benefits to our customers. Our service department has received multiple national awards, including National Service Contractor of the Year and two National Service Technicians of the Year. Out of over 1,400 technicians in the LINC™ system, National Service Technician of the Year is a prestigious honor. In 1989 we started our High Purity Piping Division to perform custom piping and have continued to expand this highly technical service. Due to continued success, Modern Piping Inc. opened additional offices in Dubuque, IA (2001), Blaine, MN (2003), Urbandale, IA (2013) and Davenport, IA (2013). With the addition of affiliated companies, Modern Project Services, LLC (2012), Modern Sheet Metal, Inc. (2013), Modern Control Services, Inc. (2013) and Modern Compressed Air, LLC (2015) we're proud to offer the full spectrum of mechanical contracting services to our customers. In the summer of 2014 we moved into our new 90,000 sq/ft corporate headquarters and state-of-the-art fabrication facility.
