bodega delivery (ceased operations in may 2022). dm @glaction for questions and follow-ups. ------ ------ my bodegas online was a digital ordering platform for small grocery stores in new york city and philadelphia. our story we were born in washington heights, an immigrant neighborhood of new york city. but our story is not only a new york story, it is a global story. in new york city our stores are called bodegas, but in mexico they are abarrotes, in philippines are called sarisairs, in colombia the name is chuzo, in japan is konbini, in dominican republic is colmado, in singapore is mamak shop, and in india is kirana. but we stopped. perhaps others will find a way, but after years trying, we do not see our path forward. the problem has not been solved: mom-and-pop grocery stores need a new business model with technology to thrive. we hoped that our ordering app with in-house delivery would be an answer. but timing and resources did not validate our thesis. questions?
