Natrona County Schools
The Natrona County Public Library Foundation was established in 1973 to enhance the services and programs provided by the library through raising private funds. The mission of the foundation is: "to enhance library funding for the future, propelling the library toward excellence for the benefit of our deserving community." Funds are raised and monitored with careful stewardship by the foundation's board of directors. Recent examples of the foundation's accomplishments include: Purchasing 5.4 acres as an eventual new library site. Funding the acquisition of e-books, making the Natrona County Public Library the first in the state to offer e-book checkout services. Publishing two books related to local history: Natrona County: The Place We Call Home and The Sandbar, with proceeds benefiting library programs and services. Providing funds for youth literacy materials and collections.
