Personalysis

Since 1992, Personalysis Corporation has provided The Psychological Corporation a consistent level of quality in its consulting, follow-up support, and onsite training. Personalysis provides useful information and insight for managing personality differences. It has helped us to build more productive teams by creating greater self-awareness and encouraging the understanding of others. The insight gained by using Personalysis helps establish an environment of greater respect, value and, appreciation of individual differences. This insightful instrument, when used as a "management tool," greatly enhances the team building process by helping to resolve interpersonal conflict which may undermine effective group interaction. Knowledge gained by using this tool helps to focus on group strengths and effectively manage group blind spots. I was introduced to Personalysis in 1985. Over the last fifteen years I have continuously refined my use of Personalysis as a "self-management" tool. Because of Personalysis, I have a greater self-awareness of my style, strengths, and potential blind spots. I am more aware of my tendency to act too soon and am able to force myself to obtain more information than I would normally gather before making a substantive managerial decision. By recognizing how my personal style affects others, I have learned how to use the "right" communication approach with someone whose Personalysis differs from mine. Thus, my performance as a manager and as a leader has improved.
