Schweizer Electronic

Schweizer Electronic is based in Reiden, Switzerland in the cantone of Lucerne. Schweizer Electronic was founded as a one-man business in 1964 by Rudolf und Margrit Schweizer in Zofingen. Since the beginning the company has had the strategy to develop warning systems of highest quality for rail construction sites. Even today the products of Schweizer Electronic are considered „state-of-the-art" for warning systems in rail security technology. After Peter Schweizer took over the position as Managing Director in 1988 the company grew continuously. New products were introduced including in 1995 a range of modern level crossing systems. After taking over the company Stein in 2001 and the company Safecom Engineering AG in 2005 Schweizer Electronic has enhanced its business areas with locomotive control systems for freight locomotives and high-secure radio systems. Today Schweizer Electronic Group has more than 150 employees based in different locations in Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, Austria and Spain and several distributors in Finland, Russia and Australia. Enhancement of the business operations in Europe and Overseas is planned.
