Southwestern Oregon Workforce Investment Board
Organization Description: The Southwestern Oregon Workforce Investment Board (SOWIB) serves as the Local Workforce Development Board for the Coos, Curry and Douglas County region, as authorized by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, SOWIB is primarily funded through the US Department of Labor and State of Oregon. Our purpose is to provide administration for WIOA Title I programs and activities, as well as oversight for the local public workforce system at large. SOWIB's administrative office is based in Coos Bay.
