At Swanton we are dedicated to putting the people we support in control of their lives, no matter what challenges they face. From learning disabilities, mental health and autism to Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) and neuro rehab, we support individuals who often present the most complex conditions. We work with families, carers, social workers and care teams to really understand the causes of any challenging behaviour and then support the person to maximise the quality of their life and community interactions. As a values-based organisation we focus on enablement and maximising independence so that the individuals we support are the co-producers of their own goals and outcomes. Our bespoke-designed care and support packages help our service users make the transition into the community from long-term care. We also design similar individualised programmes for young adults moving from children's services into the adult sector. Founded in 2006, with many of our services having existed for many years, Swanton is a national provider with services in England, Wales and Scotland. We provide a range of different support solutions including registered care homes, care homes with nursing and community based supported living and domiciliary care. Swanton is a limited company registered with companies' house in the UK. We have a board of directors and non-executive directors and the overall responsibility for our operations is with the board. Our services are regulated in England by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), in Wales by the Care Social Services Inspectorate for Wales (CSSIW) and in Scotland by the Care Inspectorate.
