5M Travel Group

5M Travel Group is the most important holding within the travel industry in Uruguay. The holding group is currently integrated by five travel agencies that service retail and corporate clients: Jetmar, Hiperviajes, Buemes, Guamatur and Turisport; a wholesaler/tour operator: Toptour and a company engaged in developing software for travel, Netviax Solutions. Netviax has positioned itself in the region as an IT supplier that provides designed and tested solutions for more than 600 Travel Agencies in Latam. Some of these companies have been in the market for over 50 years. The holding company holds over 40% of market share, has been growing steadily year after year and part of its profits are reinvested in technology through Netviax Solutions to improve fullfilment processes. Jean Paul Beer played a key role in the establishment of Sabre's Customer Support Centre in the Zonamerica free zone in Montevideo, Uruguay, which now employs approximately 1,200 people and provides support all around the travel network. During 2015, 5M Travel Group launches an online travel agency, TocTocViajes.com, the most important digital project for Uruguay, a joint venture with the investment of Mercado Libre, the biggest market place e-commerce in Latam, with over 95 million users and a platform that includes 21 million of active products published, which generate an average of 2,5 purchases per second. By the end of 2014, the Group already had over 500 employees. Today, 5M Travel Group is constantly growing, permanently adding more talents to its team and working in the development of new projects related to the travel industry .
