Abbey Physiotherapy

Abbey Physiotherapy was established in 1996 by Marion Hume and has steadily grown into the thriving practice it is today. Marion graduated from the University of Ulster in 1987 and spent the early part of her career gaining experience in several of the major Belfast Hospitals. With her main background in orthopaedics and trauma, she has a special interest in back and neck pain. In addition to treating injuries Marion has always been focused on injury prevention. In 1998 this philosophy led her to establish a consultancy in ergonomics and manual handling training providing programmes for small businesses, the care sector and government bodies. In addition to her qualification as a Chartered Physiotherapist, Marion has graduated from the European College of Bowen Studies as a Bowen Therapist. She was admitted to the European register of Bowen Therapists in 2004. In accordance with current legislation, Marion Hume is registered as a physiotherapist with the Health Professions Council.
