Aberdeen Performing Arts

Aberdeen Performing Arts, a not-for-profit company with charitable status, manages and operates His Majesty's Theatre, the Music Hall and The Lemon Tree, as well as Aberdeen Box Office and the 1906 Restaurant. One of the largest and most successful arts organisations in Scotland, we had a turnover of over £10m in 2012-13 and employ 260 full and part time staff. We attract the best of the West End shows to the His Majesty's Theatre, host Scotland's major orchestras and concerts by major artists in the Music Hall and have made The Lemon Tree a go-to venue for small scale drama, music, comedy and dance. We also run an extensive creative learning programme, particularly for young people, and produce and tour our own in-house productions. We were the first arts organisation in the UK to win the Customer Service Excellence accreditation for the quality of our customer service. We recently agreed an ambitious five-year Business Plan and are about to embark on a major redevelopment of the Music Hall, towards which we have raised £3.75m including an award of £1.5m by Creative Scotland.
