Active Tameside

Active Tameside is a not for profit registered charity trading as Tameside Sports Trust. Tameside Sports Trust was established in 1999 for public benefit, primarily for the community and visitors to the Metropolitan Borough of Tameside and surrounding areas. On the 28th July 2014, to celebrate 15 years of service Tameside Sports Trust rebranded as Active Tameside. Along with many more reasons, we dropped Tameside Sports Trust as a brand because we fulfil much more than 'sport'. Our vision is to inspire people to be active and feel great. We aim is to provide value for money services in all areas in which we operate, by investing every penny we make back into our local communities, to make them a better place to live. We are focused on promoting our facilities and sport and leisure to families and individuals of all ages and backgrounds. We operate an inclusive approach to ensure equality of opportunity for all and we openly value diversity so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of participating in sports and leisure activities.
