ACV was formed in January, 2004 as a result of the merger of Anesthesia Associates of Roanoke, Inc. and Roanoke Anesthesiology, P. C. Currently we have approximately forty physicians with expertise to provide a full range of anesthesia services. Our standards of excellence require that all of our physicians obtain Board Certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology. In addition, many of our physicians have also completed additional training in specialty areas of anesthesia, such as cardiac anesthesia, neuro-anesthesia, obstetrical anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, internal medicine, and intensive care. At ACV our goal is to safeguard and improve the quality and standards of care for the patients we serve. We are involved at both the local and national levels with our governing organizations. In fact, we are proud to have one of our members as a past president of our national organization, the American Society of Anesthesiologists. While deeply committed to the standards and values that serve as the foundation of our practice, we also look to the future, adding new techniques, innovations, and technology in the goal of providing the best possible care to our patients.
