AFM formed in 1999 with the concept of providing quality Multi-Layer Insulation Blankets to the Aerospace community. The principle members of AFM are knowledgeable in thin film material, having worked in vacuum deposition, laminations, and specialty fabrications prior to forming the company. All told, the founders have over 65 years of work history in the field. Using this knowledge and experience they have forged a unique niche in the market providing customers with solutions to their insulation needs. Our products do not end with MLI Blankets. Because our core capabilities revolve around sewing, taping, and sealing, we have also developed a variety of other product lines including inflatables, specialty soft goods, acoustic panels, and supporting materials. Over the past decade and a half, AFM has worked on several big science, optical telescope, and International Space Station projects.
