About Africa University: Africa University is an accredited United Methodist-related educational institution in Africa with a graduation rate of 97 percent. The university opened in 1992 with 40 students from six African countries and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2017. The institution's core mission is to nurture and equip principled global leaders who transform communities. Africa University offers degree programs in three colleges: Health, Agriculture and Natural Sciences (CHANS); Business, Peace, Leadership and Governance (CBPLG); and Social Sciences, Theology, Humanities and Education (CSSTH&E). The university has a current total enrollment of 1970 students and up to 31 African countries represented on its campus. About 78 percent of these students are studying full-time. To date, more than 8,000 young people have graduated from Africa University. More than 90 percent of Africa University's alumni have remained on the continent of Africa. Graduates are at work and in leadership roles in more than 32 African countries as well as in countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America. The university's main campus is located near Mutare, Zimbabwe.
