American Federation of Teachers

Founded in 1916 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) is a teacher's labor union. AFT represents five divisions: pre-k through 12th-grade, paraprofessionals and other school-related personnel, higher education faculty and professional staff, federal, state and location government employees and nurses and other healthcare professionals.
