We are not car enthusiasts, but regular women who spend time in cars, make car buying decisions, and think about how women are changing the automotive world. Our mission is to empower our readers to be smarter and happier car owners by engaging in conversation about cars and how they enable our lives, sharing information about buying and maintenance, and sharing our points of view, humor and insights. If you'd like to be considered for a spot on this team, here's how it works : GGTC Community Contributors will have written and posted at least two guest posts and fulfilled all obligations for those posts. Upon joining GGTC as a Community Contributor, you will contribute at least 12 posts per year, including approximately 6 non-compensated car reviews and 6 general stories (style, parenting, travel, technology or other lifestyle topics through the lens of cars) that are either suggested by you or assigned by us. We will compensate for assigned non-review stories but not for car reviews or for stories resulting from press trips. As a GGTC Community Contributor, you'll be part of a dynamic and growing group giving voice to one of the most powerful but underserved consumer groups: Women who buy or influence the purchase of 85% of all cars. As a Community Contributor, benefits include: Compensation for at least 6 stories per year The opportunity to review brand new cars, which will be arranged for you by our team and delivered to your door The opportunity to represent GGTC on press trips, auto shows or other industry events Participate in compensated programs for GGTC, such as sponsored programs, events, branded content, content marketing programs and more Inclusion in the A Girls Guide to Cars network of contributors, benefitting from information, best practices, digital strategies and more The possibility of joining GGTC management or other opportunities as we grow Posts should be original, have strong SEO, be of a reasonable length (at least 800 words for car reviews; length of other stories to be agreed upon in advance of assignment), follow our editorial guidelines and include 5 or more high-quality photographs, video if possible/appropriate, at least one vertical Pinable image, embedded social posts (such as Instagram) or other graphic images. Contributors are expected to regularly share GGTC content (in addition to their own GGTC posts) across their personal social media platforms and monitor and respond to reader comments. A Girls Guide to Cars will amplify contributors posts across our social media channels and share contributors blog link and social handles on our Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and other social channels as/where able and appropriate.
