A comprehensive agricultural development company, Agri-Star Group was established in 1999 by Jinan Municipal Government with the hope of accelerating the structural adjustment of agricultural industry, realizing integrated operation of agricultural industry and promoting the economic development of rural economy. It is subject of investment and capital operation in Jinan Municipal rural development and one of the top hundred leading enterprises in agriculture in Shandong Province. Since its establishment, under the right leadership of Jinan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, with the vigorous support of related departments, Agri-Star Group dedicates to creating income in agriculture, increasing farmers' income, and improving the contribution of agriculture to the finance. The Group has always taken "Enjoying green and the nature" as its core value, entered around the two themes of "pushing agricultural industrialization and serving farmers". Agri-Star Group takes bio-technology as its leading industry, market information network as its bridge, and the processing of agricultural and sideline products as its basis. In only five years, the Group realized six goals: collectivization, enlargement, scientific technology, branding, exteriorization, and informatization, making positive contribution to Jinan regional agricultural industrialization. And the Group is ranked among the top hundred agricultural leading enterprises in Shandong Province. Until the present, Agri-Star Group has owned 10 holding companies and two joint-stock companies. The parent company has a registered capital of RMB101 million Yuan. The total asset of the Group is RMB300 million Yuan. The main operation includes seed industry, flowers, processing of agricultural and sideline products, biological healthcare products, micro-organism fertilizer, veterinary medicine, pesticides, electronic commerce, and domestic and foreign trade. The Group actively explores the development road and constantly summarizes experience in practice. According to orientation of Jinan's structural readjustment in agriculture and in connection with its own development strategy, the Group has built six industry patterns: cultivation of seed-breeding, processing of agricultural and sideline products, biological pharmacy, bio-fertilizer, domestic and foreign trade and base construction.
