Agricar

Agricar was formed when Jim Johnston and John Milne completed a management buy out in November 1986 which included the depots at Forfar and Montrose. The Montrose depot was moved to Laurencekirk in 1988 due to the availability of the main franchise as a result of the Aberdeen tractors organisation closing down. Agricar expanded into Dunbartonshire with the purchase of Erskine Tractors in 1989 then in 1991 they took over the Perth branch due to the demise of Gillies and Henderson group. Agricar again expanded into Ayrshire and opened the Branch at Dundonald in 2003 again due to the area being open for the main franchises Agricar carry. In recent times Agricar opened a branch at Doune to cover the Stirlingshire customer base and it became very obvious that there was a demand for our mainline franchises in that area. In 2014 the Doune branch was relocated to purpose built premises at the Stirling Market.
