Throughout this experience, a need was identified to be able to monitor Aircon Rentals Air Conditioning units from a remote location, via the GSM network. A first for Australia, the system was developed so that technicians can monitor the performance of the equipment off-site. This technology has proven to be extremely useful, as the in-built monitors diagnose the problem and transmit the data, by satellite, to the service team, enabling them to rectify the fault, even in the most isolated of areas. The applications of this technology are endless, monitoring temperatures in sensitive server rooms, pharmaceutical laboratories and shopping centres, to name but a few.
