Akraborg

Akraborg is a leading manufacturer of canned liver. LYSI hf. has signed a share purchase agreement for the majority of shares in Akraborg ehf. Akraborg was established in 1989 and has for over 20 years been a leading manufacturer of high-quality canned cod liver. The sellers are Triton ehf. and Bornholms A/S owned by Christian Sieverts and family, who have operated the company for many years. Akraborg has 50 employees. After the share purchase, Bornholms will continue to own a large part of the company. The change of ownership will not affect the company's current business operation. Sales and marketing of Akraborg production of canned cod liver will be handled exclusively by Bornholms and Triton as before. The share purchase agreement was made with the reservation that it be approved by the relevant government authorities.
