Alam Calamus was established in 1987 and gradually has expanding from rattan mats to indoor and outdoor furniture manufacturer with unique identity in furniture design and lifestyle manufacturing company. Initially, our rattan mats produced by hand woven and weaving machine in 1987. Then continued with open and close webbing production since 1988 and exported to Japan. In 1989, Alam Calamus started to produce real natural rattan furniture and expanding with solid wood division in 1990, starting with classic 18th century American wooden styles. We produced not only wooden chairs, but also beds, tables, cupboards, cabinets, stool, wooden accessories and many other items. Alam Calamus kept on moving forward and in 1994, we innovatively broke through "Loom" production, from carefully selected and using only high paper quality to be woven creatively with our inventive machine. Our loom sheets neatly are assembled to wooden frame or rattan frame. The strength of our loom is extra ordinary. We carefully pay our attention to the details starting from materials selection, developments, designs, productions, quality, packing up to shipment and delivery. In 1996, production of outer rattan peels were quite booming worldwide. In year of 2000, Alam Calamus started producing outdoor furniture with high quality frame and synthetic rattan. All of our outdoor and indoor furniture are smartly and artistically designed as per latest and up to date trends and subsequent developments with continuous improvements and innovations, without loosing Alam Calamus own uniqueness. In 2005, Alam Calamus started to develop a brand called "Chamdani" with American, Italian, Japanese and Indonesian qualified designers. In 2007-2009, Alam Calamus combined Batyline materials from Ferrari - France with stainless steel and aluminium, both for indoor and outdoor furniture.
