Since its foundation, ALCEA has chosen to operate in accordance with a well-balanced expansion strategy. From the original Dye Works founded by Giovanni Parodi, ALCEA has grown in almost 75 years to become an important reality in the paint sector. Thanks to the choice of its founder, confirmed by his heirs, to follow objectives of quality, ALCEA has reached an important position among paint manufacturers, without forgoing its policy of specialization and technological research. Today, ALCEA is present throughout Italy with a well-distributed network of agents and resellers and internationally with licence contracts and distributors in Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Poland, Rumania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland. ALCEA is a modern company with an original system of self-production based on semi-finished products. Production is based on a system of multi-functional pigmented bases, originally manufactured with self-produced resins which are finely ground with special machines for each colour. Said semi-finished products mixed with converters of various types enable production of enamels and paints which can be used in numerous industrial applications. In this way, the structure can rapidly manufacture tested and certified industrial products which can also be used in more sophisticated sectors such as furniture, earth-moving machines, industrial vehicles and in the electronic industry. ALCEA, by means of Smaltosistem® and Geocolor®, can offer its customers a range of more than 23,000 dyes for over a hundred different products, with the same characteristics of quality and uniformity as the products supplied directly by ALCEA, producing them not only manually but also by means of various electronic tint-mix plants. For ALCEA there is only one way of moving towards the future. Continual investment in research to manufacture less harmful products. For this reason, the group has set up research projects on water-based products with Italian Universities by means of grants and research fellowships. The development of this programme will enable production based on maximum protection of the environment.
