Alcogroup

Alcogroup, with Alcotra, a company located in Geneva, Switzerland, operates a global network of companies specialised in the production, distribution and trading of ethanol. In 2010, the group distributed in excess of one million cbm of ethanol for food, industrial and fuel applications to customers worldwide. Alcogroup is 81.5% owned by the Belgian holding Alcogroup Holding and 18.5% by EDF Energies Nouvelles, an EDF Group subsidiary. Alcotra is 100% owned by Alcogroup. From humble beginnings in 1989, Alcogroup has rapidly grown to become a leading global supplier of ethanol for all market applications. But we remain driven by the pioneering spirit which saw us through those early years: we are always looking for new ways to improve our products and services, nothing is taken for granted, and we continue to adapt to changing market conditions.
