Aleteia

Aleteia is a project promoted by The Foundation for Evangelization through the Media (the FEM): a non-profit organization founded in 2008. The key intuition behind the Foundation is the idea that if evangelization efforts operate in isolation from one another, we are bound to remain effectively non-existent in a globalized world. It is our firm belief that we will only be able to meet the new challenges of evangelization by working together as a team. The Foundation wants to support and develop concrete collaborative projects to serve its institutional members and Christian media producers who focus on the same goal of evangelization. his is why the Foundation aims to bring together the major Catholic players involved in evangelization and the media, in order to foster their cooperation and collaboration. The FEM is an independent non-profit. Its unifying role is expressed both in the projects it supports, in the sources of funding it seeks, and its structures of governance that are open to partners. Since its inception, the Foundation has always worked in close collaboration with the Bishops' Conferences of several countries and the Holy See. The FEM is governed by its General Assembly. The General Assembling of the FEM meetsat least once a year to validate the Foundation's main lines of operation and vote on all the general business motions presented on the agenda. It appoints the members of the Board of Directors, Advisory Council, Supervisory Board, and High Committee of Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders. To ensure a wide ecclesial representation, fidelity to the Church's Magisterium, and facilitate synergy in serving evangelization, the FEM's General Assemblyseeks to incorporate 20-30 large Church institutions and major Christian media organizations who wish to contribute to the development of the Foundation.
