Allen Rubber

Allen Rubber

Allen Rubber Company was established in 1929 by the Solomon brothers of Philadelphia, selling new tires and specializing in recapping both passenger and truck tires. Allen was one of the first recappers of medium truck tires east of the Mississippi River. In 1942 Uniroyal (the US Rubber Co.) awarded the distribution rights to Allen Rubber for the sales and service of US tires in the Philadelphia area, and thus association has continued to the present time. During this period, Allen Rubber developed into one of the top volume dealers for Uniroyal and probably the largest Uniroyal truck tire dealer in the country. In 1982 the Solomons retired and the business was sold to Brad Goldstein and Craig Myers. Brad and Craig had executive experience in the tire business with Hoffman Tire Co. and as principals of Regal Tire Co. of Chalfonte, PA. Since the entry of Brad and Craig to Allen Rubber the business has changed dramatically. The recapping has long been discontinued and all energies are directed toward a major multi diverse distribution of various brands of tires. Allen Rubber Company is a stockholder of the Del-Nat Tire Corporation, and as such we are the exclusive distributor of National and Akuret Tires for a large marketing area.
