All-Star Academics

All-Star Academics is an after school program for children from TK to 8th grade located inside the Twin Towers Church at 1411 Oak Street, Alameda. All-Star Academics has been proudly serving the Alameda community since 2007. Started by a coalition of working parents, our program is designed to meet the needs of busy families by providing an organized and fun environment where students can triumph over academic challenges with the help of our dedicated team of tutors. Our program encourages the skills needed to excel in academics, and in life, by positively reinforcing good study habits and the ability to work independently, in a safe and engaging learning environment. All-Star Academics offers classroom settings with homework assistance for TK through 8th grade, or one-on-one tutoring for extra help in either math or language arts. During scheduled breaks from work, students play in our large in-door gym, or in our breakroom equipped with computers and foosball table. Younger students go on a mini-fieldtrip each Wednesday (weather permitting), to McKinley Park or the Alameda Main Branch Library. Our older students have access to the computer lab where they can access SchoolLoop and Ares, or do internet research for their school projects. All-Star Academics enjoys a central location, easily accessible from all of the schools in Alameda and Bay Farm, at the intersection of Oak Street and Central Avenue, conveniently adjacent to downtown Park Street. For Students requiring transportation, we can refer one of the independently-contracted drivers from our roster, to make parents' lives as easy as possible. Our philosophy is that with help and attention every student can blossom to his or her full potential.
