Over the years, AWI has developed a reputation for accuracy and reliability. As a result, the company is the leading supplier of FAA sponsored weather systems. We have worked with the FAA, NWS, and Department of Defense for more than a decade, designing, producing, testing, and installing aviation weather and air traffic control systems worldwide. AWI was the prime contractor for such distinguished projects as the NWS's ASOS and the FAA's ACE-IDS programs. AWI is currently the prime contractor on a number of mission critical programs including the NIDS air traffic control display system and the Canadian DND AWOS. In addition, our expertise developed the Runway Visual Range (RVR) systems for Transport Canada, the VWOS periscope based system for the South Korean military, as well as numerous programs throughout the Far East and Americas.
