ALML was founded with 30 staff specifically to provide aviation security services to support the then new Virgin Atlantic Airways, London - Lagos route. In 2004, and in competition with a number of major International aviation security providers including G4S, CRG and Armor Group, ALML was successful in its bid to provide security services for the newly formed Virgin Nigeria Airways. Today the company comprises an expatriate security consultant, 600 local operational and administrative staff together with a fleet of 70 vehicles. In its aviation security role, ALML provides security services in support of routes to London Heathrow, Gatwick, Johannesburg, New York and Jeddah as well as regional West African & domestic Nigerian routes.
