ALTAVE is the southern hemisphere leader in tethered air vehicles, especially aerostats and solutions for surveillance and communications based on them. Founded in 2011 by two aeronautical engineers, one with Masters in France (ISAE/Supaéro) and Thesis in NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the other with graduation work in Germany (TU Berlin), the team has a strong background from excellent engineering schools, including ITA (Aeronautical Institute of Technology), the school which started the aeronautical industry in Brazil, having EMBRAER as an outstanding result.
