Altman Distributing Company was started in Salem, Massachusetts in 1975. In 1978 we incorporated and moved to a larger facility in Beverly, Massachusetts. In 1988 we moved to a new 25,000 square foot facility in Ipswich, Massachusetts. We sell to the installer trade in Southern New Hampshire, Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Our customer base includes Service Stations, Repair Shops,Quick Lubes, Car Dealers, Transmission Shops, Muffler and Brake Shops, Gasoline Convenient Stores, Contractors, and Commercial and Industrial accounts. Our product selection includes motor oils, fluids, anti freeze, filters, blades, chemicals and additives. Our sales force consists of five outside and three inside sales representatives. Our five delivery trucks deliver daily orders to our marketing area. Our suppliers include ExxonMobil, Amalie/Wolfshead, Shell/Sopus, Citgo, Gulf, Anco, Robert Bosch, Old World/Peak,Purolator, Champion Labs, Power Service and many others. We currently service approximately 1200 customers.
