Since its creation in 1970, Aluar has expanded its activities to achieve a high degree of vertical integration in the aluminum production and marketing chain. The guiding foundations of such integration where the pursuit of activities and products with a higher share of value added to primary aluminum and an increase in the competitiveness of Aluar. For these reasons, activities have been incorporated into the production of primary aluminum both downstream (extruded and rolled products in the Elaborated Division) and upstream (production and transportation of electrical energy, basic input of the sector).
