AMA Transportation Company Co Inc. was founded by Alfred R. Bruzzese Jr. He had over 25 years in the transportation industry, working his way up from a truck driver to operations management to eventually becoming owner. He knew the values of hard work, ethics, dedication, responsiveness, and the willingness to satisfy customers through superior service and cooperation. He knew that this would one day lead to a premium service reputation and bond loyal customers to his business. His two truck operation serving Eastern Massachusetts markets was to be the building block for the future of AMA. Today, Alfred is happily retired, and the business he started from scratch is now being run by his three sons Mark, Alfred, and Anthony. His two truck operation has grown to a formidable fleet of over 100 units, providing consistent overnight service to the New England region as well as our expanded service to Metro New York and New Jersey. Alfred's outlook on values and reputation have succeeded. Shippers today have developed operating patterns with their carriers that involve trade offs between inventory, warehousing, and transportation costs.
